Ashley Kanya played softball for Morris Knolls High school from 1999-2002 as an outfielder and catcher. She was a 3-year varsity player who was awarded Morris County Honorable Mention in 2002. She played club softball for Rockaway Rampage from 1998-2002 as an outfielder and catcher. Ashley coached the Kinnelon JV softball team in 2008 and the Randolph Freshman, JV, and Varsity teams for the past 5 years. She is currently Randolph's head varsity softball coach. She also has been training winter and summer softball clinics with Randolph players since 2009.
