Cathy Drury started playing softball when she was 8 years old. She went to Mount Olive High School where she was First Team All-Conference, and Honorable Mentioned All County. She could play anywhere on the field, but her best positions were short stop and pitcher. She played on Mount Olive Travel team and played in the Babe Ruth World Series in 2006. She also played club ball for the North Jersey Avalanche and was part of Nationals in Myrtle Beach, where they finished third. Cathy went to County College of Morris and was their starting short stop and pitched for two years. She was the NJCAA Female Athlete of the Year and made First Team All-Conference. Cathy went to The College of New Jersey and played a year there. Cathy coached for North Jersey Avalanche’s 12u and 14u team. She is currently co-coaching North Jersey Avalanche’s 10u team during the summer.
